Microcredit in Africa

Professor Muhammad Yunus will be lending his expertise to help Norway launch a microcredit project in Africa.

According to the Norwegian online news channelAftenposten Nettutgaven, Professor Yunus will act as a special adviser to the Norwegian Foreign Ministry’s microcredit project. The project will include establishing a fund and enlisting private businesses to extend and finance small loans with no collaterals to would-be entrepreneurs in Africa.
