Indian author Arundhati Roy is planning to write her first novel in 10 years. Since the publication of The God of Small Things a decade ago, Roy has been actively in political campaigning against social injustices and abuse of human rights, most notably in India. Roy, the winner of the 2004 Sydney Peace Prize, is also an outspoken critic of the war in Iraq.
Roy is also the author of The Oridinary People’s Guide to the Empire, The Chequebook and the Cruise-Missile and The Algebra of Infinite Justice.
