2005 Sydney Peace Prize recipient Olara Otunnu has written an open letter to the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) repudiating claims that he is a supporter of the paramilitary group.

Otunnu, former UN Under-Secretary General for Children and Armed Conflict, addressed the letter to Martin Ojul, head of the LRA’s delegation to the Juba peace talks. The talks, held in the southern Sudanese town of Juba on 26 April, is a peace process between the LRA and the Ugandan government to end the twenty-year-old civil war in Uganda.
