Nuclear freeze in the Middle East

In the May/June issue of the Boston Review, 2007 Sydney Peace Prize recipient Dr Hans Blix wrote about the importance of ensuring the integrity of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Blix wrote that the 39-year old treaty is “under strain”. He wrote: “The global process of arms control and disarmament has stagnated in the last decade; it needs to be revived and pursued in parallel with efforts to prevent the spread of weapons of mass destruction to more states and to terrorist movements.”
